Daddy survived his mission trip to Costa Rice and we all survived Halloween so I'd say life is pretty good!
Halloween weekend brought a halloween parade and Fall Festival at school, Brad's return from Costa Rica, Trunk or Treat at the church and trick-or-treating around our neighborhood! Wow 3 days of Halloween is a lot to ask of parents! The boys were absolutely the cutest mouse and cheese I've ever seen. I found it funny that people would say, "Parker is cheese?" Then I would realize that Carson was hiding. I guess cheese alone is NOT a good costume...I always got a much better response when the mouse was nearby. And for those wondering, the boys said that I could dress as the mouse trap and daddy could be the garbage can where you put the trap. You'd think we've had a mouse problem or something! I elected to dress as Carson and Parker's mommy.....with the extra 20 lbs I can't seem to lose as my costume! Brad dressed as a missionary that hadn't shaved in 8 days.....WOW....that was a sight to see!
Outside of Fall Festival
Trying to get a good pic of them together!!
Painting Pumpkins!!
More Painting Pumpkins
Yes, Parker let them paint his face!!

A sweet little mouse and cheese
Last week Brad started a new job. He seems to like it...just trying to learn all the new stuff. He is beating me home from work some days and has only been out of town overnight one night! Go us! It's been fabulous....and seems to be much more give and take- so far so good! I think I'll start creating honey-do lists to give him extra stuff to fill his time! We don't want him to get too comfortable with too much down time!!
We've been staying busy. Carson got new "inserts" for his shoes (another new pair....3rd in about 6 months!!) We are so glad that he won't be wearing his "jumping boots" for awhile. We're trying these glorified Dr. Scholl's inserts for a few months to see if they will keep his heels down like the AFO's did. Keep your fingers crossed!! We are having the outside of our house painted, so that's made for a messy week around the house. At least it's outside and not in!!
The boys are busy looking through catalogs picking out things they want for their "birthday". I think they have picked out so much stuff that they know they reached the Christmas limit and have moved on! Today in the car Parker was flipping through a magazine and all of a sudden Carson started saying, "Ooo, ooo, ooo!! I TOTALLY want that for my birthday!" Parker replied, "Well, that's TOTALLY for girls, so you can't get it. Sorry bubba!!" It was absolutely hilarious! I love that they use the word TOTALLY- appropriately and with so much inflection- it makes me so proud;)
Here is a sample of their story telling, which is one of our favorite activities right now! They make me smile every single day.
